Iran: Kurdish women beaten up and arrested on New Year's Eve

A number of Kurdish civil activists held a New Year ceremony in Qasrian village of Sanandaj on March 19.
After the ceremony, security forces arrested a number of participants. So far, three women by the names of Sara Mirani, Ladan Sohrabi and Shahla Vakili have been identified among those arrested. Others have been summoned by phone.
Families of those arrested staged a protest gathering outside the Department of Justice in Sanandaj which led to further clashes with security forces as they insulted those protesters who were wearing traditional Kurdish costumes.

Syrian opposition: North Korean soldiers are fighting on behalf of Bashar al-Assad in Syrian civil war

GENEVA - Two North Korean military units are fighting on behalf of President Bashar al-Assad in the Syria conflict.
Asaad Al-Zoubi, the head of the Syrian opposition’s High Negotiations Committee delegation, told Russian news agency TASS that North Koreans have committed troops to the civil war.
According to Al-Zoubi, the two units are called Chalma-1 and Chalma-2.
The Syrian delegate provided the information as he attended Syria peace talks at the United Nations European headquarters in Geneva.
Al-Zoubi added there are fighters from Iran and Afghanistan fighting on behalf of Assad.
Al-Zoubi said the 'North Korean troops are fatally dangerous' during an explanation of the presence of foreign troops in the Syrian civil war.
The civil war has continued for five years, and the opposition and the Assad regime are at odds regarding the details of a peace negotiation.
But Pyongyang maintains friendly ties with the dictatorship in Damascus, and Russia has supported Assad’s rule.
North Korea’s presence in the Middle East conflict is unprecedented, but the two countries have cultivated military ties for many years.
North Korea has been a staunch ally of the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad, opposed by the Islamic State, and Pyongyang helped Syria build a nuclear facility destroyed by an Israeli air raid in 2007.
Last September Syria dedicated a park to former North Korean leader Kim Il Sung.

Call on Austrian political parties, parliament, and human rights defenders to cancel Rouhani's trip

Welcoming regime’s leaders encourages them in the violation of human rights and export of terrorism
The Iranian Resistance considers the planned trip of Rouhani, President of the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran, to Austria against the highest interests of the Iranian people and the countries in the region and calls on Austrian political parties, parliamentarians and defenders of human rights to cancel this visit.
At a time when western countries have been silent regarding the barbaric violation of human rights and crimes of the Iranian regime in Syria, Iraq and other regional countries, welcoming Rouhani and other leaders of this regime will encourage them in the violation of human rights in Iran, as well as in the export of terrorism, fundamentalism and warmongering in the region and the world. Any relations with this regime should be preconditioned to the annulment of the death penalty in Iran and this regime’s interference in the region.
Rouhani has always been amongst the highest ranking officials of this regime and he should face justice along with other leaders of this regime for crimes against humanity. He is no different from other regime leaders as far as suppression and export of terrorism is concerned.
Rouhani has never expressed any opposition to the collective and arbitrary executions that number 2300 during his own time in office; in fact, he has described them as “divine law or legislations by the parliament” that need to be carried out.
On February 8 he unprecedentedly acknowledged the regime’s meddling and warmongering in the countries in the region by saying: “If our armed forces and our commanders had not stood up in Baghdad, Fallujah and Ramadi; had they not supported the Syrian government in Damascus and Aleppo; and had it not been for the courage of our military, Revolutionary Guards, Basij and NAJA [Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran], we would not have had the necessary security to be able to conduct such a good [nuclear] negotiation.”

Maryam Rajavi strongly condemns Brussels terrorist attacks as crime against humanity

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, strongly condemned the terrorist attacks at Brussels’ airport and subway station as a crime against humanity. While offering her condolences to the Belgian people and government, she expressed her sincere sympathies to the families of the victims of this terrorist crime and wished for the recovery of the injured.
The Iranian people who have been under the ominous rule of the religious and terrorist fascism of the mullahs, as the Godfather of Daesh, for the past 37 years are quite familiar with these atrocities and understand the feeling of the peoples of Belgium and Europe at these difficult moments.
Fundamentalism and terrorism under the banner of Islam became a global and regional threat only after the advent of the religious dictatorship in Iran, and the existence of the terrorist groups under the Shia or Sunni banner is directly or indirectly tied to this regime.
As the Iranian Resistance has repeatedly warned in the past three decades, the uprooting of this ominous phenomenon would only be possible with the overthrow of this regime and the establishment of democracy in Iran.

Iran: Rise in suicide, mullahs’ New Year's gift for women

A 22-year-old woman, Tara Azizpoor, committed suicide on March 15 and died. She was single and worked as a bank employee in the Kurdish city of Mahabad.
Also, an 18-year-old girl identified as “F” committed suicide and lost her life in the western city of Saqqez on March 8.
The rising number of suicides is a result of poverty, unemployment and suppression especially among women.
