Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 461,500

 The regime’s Health Minister: The sixth COVID-19 outbreak will emerge in November, and we know it is definite. (IRNA news agency, October 21, 2021)

  • Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): The COVID-19 situation is fragile and unstable, especially in Tehran metropolis. Vaccination is needed to eradicate Coronavirus, but it is not enough. (IRNA, October 21, 2021)
  • Nader Tavakoli, deputy head of the NCCT in Tehran: The concern is that the expected reduction in COVID-19 infections has not happened, and the figure has remained stable. (IRNA, October 21, 2021)
  • West Azerbaijan Medical University: An average of 22 COVID-19 patients have died in the past 32 days. (IRNA, October 21, 2021)
  • Kermanshah Medical University: Currently, 861 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized. The COVID-19 infection rate has an increasing trend compared to yesterday. (Fars news agency, October 21, 2021)
  • Qom Medical University: Today’s number of positive COVID-19 tests has increased by 30% compared to yesterday. (State Radio and TV news agency, October 21, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced today, October 21, 2021, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities is more than 461,500. In Tehran, COVID-19 death toll is 108,066, Khorasan Razavi 37,800, Isfahan 31,345, Khuzestan 28,300, West Azerbaijan 16,953, Fars 16,795, Lorestan 15,345, Qom 12,640, Kerman 12,312, Hamedan 8,633, Central Province 8,444, Kermanshah 8,439, Yazd 7,583, Bushehr 5,199, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 3,354.
