Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 458 Cities Exceeds 121,600

coronavirus in Iranian cities

272 deaths, a new record based on regime’s engineered statistics in the past 24 hours, and 4,533 critically ill

  • Saeid Namaki, regime’s Health Minister: Yesterday, Tehran filled its 5,200 beds for the first time (since the beginning of the pandemic), and this is very, very worrying.
  • Sina Hospital: ICU beds are 100% full, and we do not have an empty bed. We may have as many dead as we had during the Iran-Iraq war.
  • Head of the Nursing Organization: More than 30,500 nurses have been infected with Coronavirus so far, of which 6,000 could not return to work afterward.
  • Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: The new wave can be much more terrifying, massive, and with a deeper breadth than before. The gap between peaks is closing.
  • Isfahan University of Medical Sciences: 41 Coronavirus patients died in the past 24 hours.
  • Tabriz University of Medical Sciences: The increase in deaths from 18 to 26 in the past 24 hours indicates an increasing trend of the death toll.
  • Amid the Coronavirus tragedy, in his speech today, Khamenei only uttered a few words about the people’s duty to comply with Coronavirus protocols and about the government’s duty to enforce them on the public.
  • Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI): While the number of those ill and dead breaks records every day, Khamenei impudently and callously blamed people. The increasing trend of the Coronavirus death toll in Iran is in no way normal and comparable to other countries. The scale of the catastrophe would have been much more limited if state facilities had been used preemptively to treat Coronavirus patients. Khamenei and Rouhani want to block the uprising and regime’s downfall by utilizing the policy of mass human casualties.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Monday, October 12, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 458 cities had exceeded 121,600. The number of victims in Tehran is 28,971, Khorasan Razavi 9,155, Khuzestan 7,793, Isfahan 6,269, East Azerbaijan 4,278, Sistan and Baluchestan 3,486, West Azerbaijan 3,342, Alborz 3,323, Fars 3,206, Kurdistan 2,176, North Khorasan 2,114, Kerman 1,860, Central Province 1,640, Hormozgan 1,600, Qazvin 1,171, Zanjan 1,158, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 927, and South Khorasan 899.

In a letter to the Minister of Education published by Resalat daily today, Ghazizadeh Hashemi, the first deputy speaker of the regime parliament, wrote, “School conditions do not guarantee the health of our children. Even in the wealthy districts of the capital, the health protocols are not being observed properly. The right solution was not to reopen the schools. If necessary, with the experts’ advice, we must move towards virtual learning.”
