This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.
The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Thursday as 115 deaths and 10,820 new cases, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency. Furthermore, 3219 patients are in ICUs and 1319 of the new cases have been hospitalized.
The Health Ministry also reported that 31 additional cities will be registered as red zones. The number of people being hospitalized for coronavirus is increasing in Tehran and the Iranian capital may also be registered as a red zone. There are currently 32 red cities, 174 orange, 242 yellow and no blue cities, according to a Friday report wired by the regime’s official IRIB news agency.
“In just one week we have witnessed a 45 percent rise in the number of red cities, mainly in the country’s central, western and also extremely close to the capital,” according to a Friday report wired by the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regimes Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.
“The truth is that the South African and Indian variants are very affective in quickly spreading among the population. This can strengthen the thread of a fifth coronavirus wave across the country,” said Hamid Souri, head of the Covid-19 Epidemiology Committee on Friday. “In other words, we can say we have neared the fifth peak while the vaccination effort is terribly slow. Based on the latest information around one million people have received two vaccine doses. It has been some time that in the provinces of Hormozgan, Fars and Bushehr we have seen new epicenters of the South African and Indian variants. The virus is expanding like a volcano in these areas,” he added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
“Conditions of the coronavirus conditions in Sistan & Baluchistan province can be described as a crisis. The color red is no longer adequate to explain the spread of the virus in this province,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) representing the city of Zahedan on Friday. “We are witnessing more than 1000 new cases every 24 hours. If these conditions continue the number of new cases and deaths in this province will be skyrocketing,” he added, according to the Tasnim news agency.
“The trend of the coronavirus illness in Hormozgan province is always on the rise and we are facing a massive wave that adds to the number of patients and those hospitalized every day,” said the spokesperson of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Friday. “Currently we are facing a significant increase in the number of patients quarantined at home, which is extremely concerning. As we speak, we have 10,611 people quarantined at home,” this official added, according to the Tasnim news agency.
In Fars province, a number of the cities and towns have been newly registered as red zones and warnings of a fifth peak are materializing into reality. Currently there are 1090 people hospitalized for coronavirus, of which 135 are in ICUs, according to a Friday report wired by the Tasnim news agency.
“Based on the color designation registered by the Health Ministry, 60 percent of the cities and towns in Bushehr are red zones, and the remaining 40 percent are classified as orange zones,” said the dean of Bushehr Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Tasnim news agency.
“The capital of [Yazd] province is registered as a red zone. During the past 24 hours 903 tests were conducted, of which 494 were registered as confirmed Covid-19 cases in various parts of this province,” according to a Friday report wired by the regime’s official IRNA news agency.
