Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 335,100

• Mashhad University of Medical Sciences: The COVID-19 virus is spreading rapidly during the fifth outbreak, the number of hospitalizations has reached 1,300, and all unnecessary surgeries have been canceled. (State Radio and TV news agency, July 22, 2021)

• Isfahan University of Medical Sciences: In the past 24 hours, 288 people were hospitalized for COVID-19, while 117 patients were discharged. (IMNA news agency, July 22, 2021)

• Golestan University of Medical Sciences: Out of 1,003 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized until yesterday, some were discharged, but 200 others replaced them.

• Guilan University of Medical Sciences: The number of COVID-19 inpatients in the Province has increased several times compared to previous weeks. (Mehr news agency, July 22, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, July 22, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities had surpassed 335,100. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 78,136, Isfahan 22,705, Khuzestan 21,321, Khorasan Razavi 20,345, East Azerbaijan 13,358, West Azerbaijan 12,323, Fars 11,337, Alborz 9,593, Sistan and Baluchestan 9,116, Kerman 8,103, Kermanshah 6,333, Yazd 5,727, Kurdistan 5,597, Hormozgan 5,515, North Khorasan 4,669, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,584.
