Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 509,000

 The regime’s Health Ministry announced that the Coronavirus status in the country is as follows: 337 red cities, 64 orange cities, and 47 yellow cities. There is no blue city, i.e., free of virus. (IRNA news agency, February 19, 2022)

• Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: There are currently 2,340 COVID-19 patients in the ICU in Tehran. (ISNA news agency, February 19, 2022)
• Tehran Emergency Center: The Coronavirus-related missions during the sixth COVID-19 outbreak have increased three-fold, and the number of emergency calls has reached about 9,000 per day. (ISNA, February 19, 2022)
• Kerman Medical University: More than 60% of COVID-19 tests are positive. (ISNA, February 19, 2022)
• Ardabil Medical University: The number of COVID-19 hospitalized patients has quadrupled compared to two weeks ago. (IRNA, February 19, 2022)
• The COVID-19 red siren for Bushehr Province has sounded. In the past 24 hours, seven COVID-19 patients have died, and 81 were hospitalized. (State Radio and TV news agency, February 19, 2022)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, February 19, 2022, that the COVID-19 death toll in 547 cities has exceeded 509,000. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 119,005, Khorasan Razavi 40,835, Isfahan 35,330, Khuzestan 30,685, Fars 19,480, West Azerbaijan 19,148, Mazandaran 18,360, East Azerbaijan 17,588, Gilan 17,585, Lorestan 16,720, Alborz 14,783, Sistan and Baluchestan 14,020, Kerman 13,802, Qom 13,660, Kermanshah 9,524, Hamedan 9,418, Central Province 9,278, Hormozgan 8,475, Yazd 8,438, Kurdistan 8,357, North Khorasan 6,563, and Bushehr 5,719.
