The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 427 cities across Iran had passed 100,900. The number of victims in Tehran is 24,525, Khorasan Razavi 7,244, Khuzestan 6,677, Mazandaran 4,879, Isfahan 4,619, Lorestan 4,477, Gilan 4,162, Sistan and Baluchestan 3,087, Ardabil 1,227, Qazvin 889, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 655.

As protests against the reopening of schools continue, Rouhani said today, “Our situation is different from other countries, and in the field of reopening, they (people) should not compare us with other countries. The government and the NCCT have made the right decision. God willing, our students will benefit from the blessing of education. At the same time, we do not force any family or student to attend the schools to receive education.” He added, “Every day, using a different excuse, they (enemy) want to raise a concern and magnify the problem to create unrest and undermine the public’s peace of mind … In the month of Ramadan, they said why are we opening mosques while the health of the people was ensured; They said the same thing about (holding) Muharram ceremonies, and nothing happened. When opening the businesses, they talked about the lives and the livelihood of the people, but both the lives and their livelihood were protected. These days they have been pointing on education. They are furious and upset that the country is moving in the right direction, and people are not paying attention to their false comments.”
