Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities in 440 Cities Surpass 108,200

“Coronavirus Control” patrol to counter the widespread protests in Isfahan

  • The regime officials admit Isfahan’s critical situation: 1278 Coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Isfahan, and 216 are in the ICU. The hospitals are almost full, and private, charitable, and non-governmental hospitals need to be added. The number of fatalities has increased from 10 to 30 daily.   • Yazd University of Medical Sciences: The number of Coronavirus patients admitted to the Province hospitals has increased by 40% in the past ten days. (State TV news agency, September 23, 2020)
  • Fars Emergency Medical Center: The number of patients is increasing rapidly. A hundred and nine emergency personnel were infected with Coronavirus. (Javan, September 22, 2020)
  • Qom University of Medical Sciences: One hundred and eighty-four people were hospitalized in the past 24 hours. We have 715 patients, of which 117 are in critical condition. (Mehr, September 23, 2020)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on September 23, 2020, that the number of Coronavirus fatalities in 440 cities had exceeded 108,200. The number of victims in Khorasan Razavi is 7,982, Khuzestan 6,971, Isfahan 5,249, Mazandaran 5,207, Qom 4,840, Gilan 4,396, East Azerbaijan 3,383, Fars 2,976, Hamedan 2,802, Kurdistan 2,061, North Khorasan 1,909, Kerman 1,701, Hormozgan 1,475, Central Province 1,413, Semnan 1,411, Bushehr 1,335, Ardabil 1,305, and South Khorasan 722.

Iraj Harirchi, Regime’s Deputy Health Minister, told Entekhab daily, yesterday, “The recent genetic mutation of the Coronavirus and the increase in its transmissibility are worrying. With the increase in the contagious power of the virus, the transmission within families has greatly increased. If a person is infected, most members of the family will be infected with Covid-19.”
