Public concern over reopening of schools sparks protests by regime agents

  • Head of the regime’s Medical Council: The actual reason for the unexpected reopening of schools is not clear for the people. In the event of an epidemic of infectious diseases, the first place to be closed are schools, and the last to reopen are schools.
  • ICU Specialist of Masih Daneshvari Hospital: Schools should not be opened. We will not forgive ourselves if students get infected with Coronavirus.
  • A spokesperson for the regime’s parliament’s Health Commission: The inability of schools to strictly follow the health protocols can endanger children’s’ health. The government must refrain from making inconsiderate decisions
  • Mehr News Agency: Many parents are confused as to whether or not send their children to school. Out of the 270,000 students in Yazd Province, almost half did not attend classes today

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on September 5, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 410 cities across Iran had exceeded 99,200. The number of victims in Khorasan Razavi is 7,074, Khuzestan 6,612, Isfahan 4,500, Gilan 4,112, East Azerbaijan 2,887, Golestan 2,823, West Azerbaijan 2,679, Kerman 1,586, Hormozgan 1,329, Qazvin 864, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 645.

As public concern over the reopening of schools grows, and many regime officials have spoken out against it, at the reopening ceremony of the schools said, Rouhani deceitfully said today, “Every step we take the foreign media are against our country and our nation. They do not want things to return to normal. They use an excuse and fabricate a story every day… The enemy was looking for an excuse to lock down the country… they were trying to create chaos… The foreign media wanted to shut everything down. Of course, they will continue to do so.” Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the regime’s Health Ministry announced today that the number of provinces in a state of red or alert has increased to 29.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said yesterday: The reopening of schools without the necessary and adequate guarantees will lead to a new wave of Coronavirus outbreak and the death of many of our students and compatriots. Khamenei and the clerics, who do not want to pay the price of resolving the issue in a scientific way and according to the experts’ views, are sending the students to Coronavirus killing ground.

Mrs. Rajavi advised the parents of the students, especially young students, to act in such a way that the possibility of transmission to the students and their families is reduced to a minimum.
